I was once again able to use the skills I’ve learned to help the High School I graduated from by creating some banners. One was for open house, and one is a tradition banner to be hung year round to draw attention to the school. For now they look a little plain, but I’m sure once they are made and hung it will look much better (Click on an image below to see it full-size). I’ll add some pictures of the banners once they are hung.

Alumni and Friends 3-on-3 Tournament

I was given the opportunity to give back to the High School I graduated from. I planned a basketball tournament to raise money to further the completion of the multipurpose facility. The event consisted of 8 teams who played in a round robin tournament. My responsibilities included

Creating the logo
Soliciting Businesses for sponsorships
Creating the Donation letters
Creating the Postcard that was mailed out to all the potential participants
Getting the t-shirts made
Directing the tournament

Maple Festival

As an eboard member of the PRSSA chapter at Edinboro University I was very much involved with the “Edinboro Maple Festival” an event promoted and organized by our Chapter. My responsibilities included designing the logo for the event as well as the event program.

The Logo was created in Illustrator.

Love your Computer Week

The Boro Tech Squad holds and event every year during the week of valentines day to promote people “Loving their computer”. The event is designed to help people learn how to better treat their computers. My Job is to promote the event and gain facebook followers with the ultimate goal of increasing self remediation of computer problems.

The following is an 11” by 17” poster I created that was displayed around campus.

Beginning a Facebook Page

The management at the Technology and Communications realized that their emails weren’t getting through to student. As a result I became in charge of the Facebook group for the Boro Tech Squad. Here are some of the initial items created to start marketing the site.

I determined that it would be crucial for users to go straight to the site as opposed to digging through facebook. As a result Technology and Communications granted my request to create a subdomain that would point to the facebook page. In a nutshell (for the non-technological people) http://techsquad.edinboro.edu now points to the facebook page.
