The Boro Tech Squad holds and event every year during the week of valentines day to promote people “Loving their computer”. The event is designed to help people learn how to better treat their computers. My Job is to promote the event and gain facebook followers with the ultimate goal of increasing self remediation of computer problems.

The following is an 11” by 17” poster I created that was displayed around campus.

Beginning a Facebook Page

The management at the Technology and Communications realized that their emails weren’t getting through to student. As a result I became in charge of the Facebook group for the Boro Tech Squad. Here are some of the initial items created to start marketing the site.

I determined that it would be crucial for users to go straight to the site as opposed to digging through facebook. As a result Technology and Communications granted my request to create a subdomain that would point to the facebook page. In a nutshell (for the non-technological people) http://techsquad.edinboro.edu now points to the facebook page.
